Do we need the government "to control the people"?

As if we need another reason to worry about our government shredding the Constitution and our rights as citizens. Rep. John Dingell in an interview with a Detroit radio show said and I quote, "DINGELL: Paul W., we're not ready to be doing it. But let me remind you, this has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is, when you're going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways, it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.". One of the socialist in the government finally slipped-up and admitted what their real plan is. Read more here http://mediamatters.org/research/201003240065. This is just one more example of the people in government thinking they know best and all we can do is quietly accept their plans for us. I say not so, enough is enough, we need to start pushing back. Learn the Constitution and "KNOW" your rights and then stand up for them against those who would take them from you. One of the things I think would be a good first step is, if you live in a state that is challenging their latest atrocity called healthcare then support your state officials. Also, if you live in a state that is making a 10th Amendment push then support those lawmakers. If your state is not doing this then contact your state representatives and push them to do so. Make demands of them to take back from the federal government what should be State issues. Politicians understand two things very well, votes and money. Withhold both and they will hear you. Please take a stand and start working now before it's to late.

Our Constitution; Why we need to understand it BETTER.

With all the underhanded, partisan, hidden and in some cases just plain illegal shenanigans going on in our nation's capital these days it's small wonder that such a high percentage of our fellow citizens are fed-up and mad. After the passing of the Obama health care "reform" and it looking very much like immigration "reform" is next up in the batting order for this president and his cohorts in the Congress, every citizen should be mad. These blatant and obvious tramplings of our constitutional rights on a regular basis should be more than enough to show every citizen that this administration and this Congress cares little if any about the opinions of "We the People". While all of these things have been happening we, the voters and citizens, have heard much from Fox News and the many conservative talk show host about this subject. If you were paying close attention you heard some lines like the following, "consent of the governed", "individual mandate", "Congress shall pass no law", "states rights" and "mis-representative form of government". All of these and more are direct references to our founding document and "The Law of the Land", our Constitution.
With this in mind, I and some of my friends, think every citizen of this country should know and understand exactly what the Constitution has to say about these things. We do not believe it is enough just to be mad, but that you should also know why you have the right to be mad. For this reason, we in the months from now until November will try to discuss the Constitution in such a way as to be understandable by everyone. By doing this we hope to help in some small way the uprising that will begin to take this country back from the politicians and give it over to the will of the people. We do have the right to throw the bums out. We will try to do our best in future articles to help you understand why our Constitution in still a living document and just as valid today as it was the first day it was penned. I would encourage you to get your own copy and read it for yourself and in the future you will know when your rights are being trampled by politicians who think they, and only they, know what is good and right for "We the People". Comments and questions welcome.
